“Björkö Village Museum”
In 1915, a minor farmer, Albert Blomqvist, founded a village shop, which was later taken over by his daughter Mildred Bergman until 1976. The shop, which is now a museum, was built in 1954, but there are also parts of the original store from 1915. The merchandise, mainly from the 1940s and 1950s, which has been saved in attics and sheds, is currently in the museum.
“Grandma’s Cottage”
In the neighboring building you will find “Grandma’s Cottage”, which is full of furniture, tools, fabrics, postcards and rustic items from the 19th and early 20th century. This year there is also a gift shop where you can buy various homemade things, pepper mills and kitchen knives.
There is a small flea market and small-scale sales of old items. The Village Museum and Grandma’s Cottage are open from Midsummer until the beginning of August by agreement. Welcome!
