There are a lot of activities in Houtsk\u00e4r during the summer. New this year are the beautiful bus stops you can admire along the roads. Why not take a selfie in front of every bus stop to send home to your friends? We also offer unique archipelago experiences by ferry to different islands \u2013 all for free! Check out the information sheet to learn more about island hopping! When you visit the museum area you could go for a walk around the St Andreas Culture Path. It starts at the church and continues down by Saint Andrew’s vicarage, the parish hall and the old execution site, the scaffold. It then passes the municipality house, our current administrative office, and ends at the old village hall. The path is marked with 10 information signs in three different
languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are looking for an active holiday you can rent a bike at three different locations, visit the mini arena at Tr\u00e4sk elementary school, work out at the fitness trail that weaves through the woods by the crossroads in Tr\u00e4sk, rent kayaks and boats in various sizes or maybe play miniature golf outside the tourist information in N\u00e4sby. You’ll find information about everything in this chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kids also like miniature golf or climbing in the big climbing frames at Tr\u00e4sk elementary school, wall climbing at the mini arena or to visit Pike and the Gang down by the guest harbor. You can borrow a landing net from the guest harbour or a fishing rod from the tourist information. You have to understand the fishing license regulation as described in the brochure \u201cWelcome to the archipelago\u201d if you want to be fishing in any other way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also just relax and go for a stroll in nature, discover new plants and wild animals, pick berries and mushrooms, watch birds by land and sea or maybe go for a swim at Vitteludd beach. It is also possible to rent a sauna in at least three different locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
